  • This was absolutely the most positive car buying experience we've had in 50 years.  Chris Routten is sincerely interested in providing the best sales customer service possible and it shows.  Everyone was friendly, it was low pressure and this was important to both of us.  It is clear that Brown's Manassas Subaru wants the customer to be happy with the whole process and they go out of their way to make it happen.  and they work together as a GREAT TEAM.  Any questions or concerns are addressed openly and quickly.  Meeting Shelley in the service department helped to seal the deal.  She's informative, friendly and direct so we know we'll be working with a great service provider.

    It was funny because Chris wound up with three customers that day who bought a car and all three wanted to continue dealing with Chris and no one else because he is so sincerely and clearly interested in getting a customer into the right car.  The other team members provided outstanding support to Chris during the whole process.  Impressive!

She listened to our needs and wishes criteria for our new car and recommended we test drive different models. After comparing models that met our criteria, we returned to Subaru and purchased a new Outback.   • I recently performed a ton of research for a vehicle to replace my 2006 Toyota 4-Runner. I loved my 4-Runner but was looking for a little better gas mileage and a new vehicle.  After test driving several vehicles I had settled on replacing it with a Toyota RAV-4 or a Honda CRV.  I had not even considered a Subaru during all of this research.  I went out to do my final test drive.  I went by the Honda dealer and drove the CRV and decided on the spot that it didn’t have enough power for me.  The engine worked really hard on a particular hill.  I then headed to the Toyota dealer and on the way passed a Subaru dealer.  I decide to stop by and by chance they had just gotten the new 2014 Foresters.  I was quite blown away by this little vehicle and ended up taking it home.  By the way this is a nice vehicle for the price.  The driver visibility is outstanding and handling is great, aided by a small turning circle and good acceleration for a 4 cylinder not to mention the fuel economy.  But the story continues.  Remember I had a 4-Runner an excellent and rugged vehicle.  After driving the Forester for a few days I wanted something a little more luxurious and substantial.  Thinking that I would never be able to afford to trade it back to them I sulked for a few weeks.  Finally I sent an email to Eric Bukhari (Sales) and Patrick Hall (GM) informing that I was not happy with my purchase.  They asked me to come in to see if we could work something out.  I went in but I honestly doubted that anything could be worked out to my satisfaction.  I had seen something similar happen to an acquaintance and the dealer didn’t even get close to a reasonable deal.  I test drove the 2014 Outback and really liked it a lot.  It felt more substantial, like my 4-Runner and the gas mileage was much better.  I talked to Patrick and he let me know that I would lose some money and I let him know that I couldn’t lose much.  I ended up buying the 2014 Outback and I love the car.  I asked Eric to give me a tour of the features and believe me he knows Subaru.  He walked me around the Outback explaining the outstanding features in just enough detail to impress.  I also need to mention Rafel Jabour (Finance) who pointed out some of the concessions that Patrick had made for me to be able to buy this car and end up with a satisfied customer.  I know they didn’t lose money on me but I am grateful for the effort and the honesty from this business.  I love honesty. When purchasing in the future Brown’s Manassas Subaru will be at the top of my list.

  • I purchased a first vehicle for my daughter on 6/8/2013. We had a list of vehicles from different dealerships were wanted to look at and were driving from southern Maryland. Brown's Manassas Subaru was our first stop only because we were planning on traveling to Richmond second. I'm glad we made this our first stop. Meredith met us as we pulled up and our first impression was we were being treated like a valued guest. My daughter took the test drive and Meredith made her feel very comfortable. We explained that we wanted to go look at another vehicle, and the staff and Meredith understood and let us know we were welcome back and there was no pressure to have to buy from them. Well, we never quite made it to Richmond since the vehicle we sought to look at had been sold so we went to another dealer in Fairfax and walked in their showroom floor and automatically felt as if we were prey to be hunted for a sale of a vehicle we didn't want.
    Being fed up with the high pressure tactics of the Fairfax dealership (Not Brown's by the way), my daughter decided she wanted to go back to Brown's Manassas Subaru and we concluded our deal with Meredith and Lance for the Hyundai Tucson we had looked at earlier in the day.
    Comparing the two different dealerships from our experience, we felt like a valued member and guest in buying the vehicle we came to look at.
    Need I say more about Brown's Manassas Subaru?

    Should I switch from my current brand of vehicle to a Subaru, I will travel the 100 miles again to buy from these people.
